The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, has condemned the attack targeting the residence of Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani, affirming his support for the Region in the face of threats.
A statement by the SDF noted that Abdi held a telephone conversation with Barzani, during which he expressed his condemnation “in the strongest terms” of the attack that targeted the President’s home.
During the call, the Commander-in-Chief affirmed his full support for the people and leadership of the Kurdistan Region against all threats and attacks. He emphasized that “the security and safety of Kurdistan is a duty for everyone, and the stability of the Region represents stability for all Kurds and the entire area.”
The statement added that the SDF Commander-in-Chief expressed his complete solidarity with the Kurdistan Region during these difficult times, reiterating his rejection of violence and all forms of political or military threats.
