New Arrests Target Young Men from Shitka Village in the Afrin Countryside

The General Security forces affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government continue their arrest campaign, while the number of detainees has exceeded ten young men without any announced charges or official explanations being issued.

The arrest campaign carried out by the General Security forces affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government against Kurds young men from Shitka village in the Afrin countryside continues, amid the absence of any announced charges or official explanations regarding the reasons for their detention.

According to information obtained by Afrin News 24, the number of detainees from the village has so far exceeded ten young men. Mirkhaz Mohammad, Dalkash Naasan, Bawar Khalil, Farman Khalil, and Walat Mohammad remain in detention.

The General Security forces also arrested Walat Mohammad today in the city of Afrin. He is also from Shitka village.

These arrests come approximately one week after the killing of Adel, a resident of Shitka village, in an incident whose circumstances remain unknown. The identity of the killer and the results of the investigations into the crime have not yet been announced.
