SDF: The person presented as a civilian in Al-Hol Camp is an ISIS member
The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) issued a statement regarding a person who was presented as a “detained doctor in Al-Hol Camp” and described by some media outlets as a “civilian.“ The statement indicated that there is evidence proving that this individual is an ISIS mercenary and has previously pledged allegiance to the organization.
Some media outlets had portrayed a person in Al-Hol Camp as a detained doctor and a civilian. However, older footage filmed by Al-Furat Network clearly shows him wearing military uniform among the ranks of ISIS mercenaries, performing what they describe as the “pledge of allegiance to the organization.”
The SDF Media Center noted that it is the same person with the same face, but the story changes according to the narrative being promoted.

The statement stressed that this contradiction exposes attempts by certain parties to rehabilitate the image of ISIS mercenaries, mislead public opinion, and cover up the crime of releasing them by the Damascus government after it took control of those areas.
