The bridge at the Semalka–Faysh Khabur border crossing, which connects Rojava (northeast Syria) with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, has gone out of service due to heavy rainfall, while maintenance teams have begun repair work on the bridge.
According to Hawar News Agency, officials at the Semalka crossing stated that maintenance work will continue until the end of the Eid al-Fitr holiday, after which the crossing is expected to resume operations.

Meanwhile, in the countryside of Tal Tamr, the M4 international highway has gone out of service after the water level of the Khabur River rose and overflowed above the road level near the city, leading to a halt in traffic movement.
This comes just days after the M4 international highway in the countryside of al-Hasakah, near the village of al-Tawila west of Tal Tamr, was reopened, where traffic had begun to gradually return to the road after seven years. However, movement stopped again this morning due to the rising level of the Khabur River following heavy rainfall and flooding over the road.
