Press Conference in Rumeilan Fields Discusses Production Development, Rehabilitation Plans, and Enhancing Local Talent Participation
The Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC) unveiled plans to gradually increase production in the Rumeilan oil fields in Hasakah province to approximately 250,000 barrels per day (bpd) by the end of 2027. The announcement came during a joint press conference held in the Rumeilan fields by SPC CEO Eng. Youssef Kablawi and Mark Rollins, CEO of the US-based HKN Energy.
The conference addressed production development plans utilizing modern technologies, along with the targeted timeline to scale up field output gradually to nearly 250,000 bpd by late 2027.
Furthermore, both parties reviewed the rehabilitation projects to be executed by HKN, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency.
Kablawi and Rollins emphasized the importance of leveraging national expertise and providing opportunities for local residents to participate in operations and development efforts, thereby fostering local community development and supporting the oil and gas sector.
