The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI), an opposition group to the Tehran regime, announced on Wednesday that Iran launched an attack using two drones targeting the “Girdachal” camp, which houses the families of party members near Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region.
In an official statement, the party confirmed that “the attacks targeted the residential areas of civilian families, in addition to the party’s health and educational centers.”
Early Wednesday morning, 6 May 2026, Iran’s terrorist IRGC conducted drone strikes against the PDKI’s Girde Chal camp. Two drones hit the perimeter of the camp, which serves as a residence for the families of PDKI members.

The party further explained that this strike occurred only a few hours after another Iranian attack targeting the “Surdash” camp within the borders of the Sulaymaniyah governorate.
The statement noted that “since the beginning of the current regional tensions, Iran has carried out more than 114 attacks using missiles and drones against the party’s headquarters and camps.”
