Kurdish Forces Repel Attack in al-Hasakah Countryside, Accuse Syrian Interim Authority Factions of Ceasefire Violations West of Tal Tamr

Kurdish forces repelled an attack carried out by factions affiliated with the so-called Syrian Interim Authority on the Tal al-Laban area in the western countryside of al-Hasakah, in Rojava (northeast Syria). The clashes resulted in the killing of four attackers, the injury of two others, and the disabling of two military vehicles.

In a related development, media outlets close to the Autonomous Administration reported that factions of the Syrian Interim Authority violated the ceasefire by shelling al-Ghaibesh village and the church of the Assyrian village of Tal Jumaa, located west of Tal Tamr in Rojava, using heavy artillery.

According to the same sources, the shelling that targeted the church in Tal Jumaa caused material damage inside the building, with no reports of civilian casualties. The sources added that Kurdish forces responded to the sources of fire within what they described as the framework of legitimate self-defense of the area.
