A statement issued by the Syrian Democratic Forces said that its Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi and Ms. Ilham Ahmed held a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
According to the statement, the delegation expressed its appreciation to President Macron for France’s continued support, particularly its efforts to push for a ceasefire and promote stability.
The statement noted that emphasis was placed on the importance of continued international support to ensure the implementation of the January 29 agreement and the completion of its provisions in a manner that serves the path of integration and stability in Syria.
For his part, Macron affirmed, according to the statement, that France would continue its work and efforts in this regard, praising the role played by the Syrian Democratic Forces in combating terrorism and enhancing security and stability in the region.
