Despite the Declared Truce, a Child Killed and Three Others Injured in Artillery Shelling of Kobani Countryside
A child was killed and three other children were injured with varying degrees of severity as a result of artillery shelling that targeted the village of Al-Qasmiyah in the countryside of Kobani, despite the declared truce. The shelling originated from positions controlled by the Syrian Arab Army and its allied armed groups in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, according to local sources.
The sources reported that the shelling led to the death of Sabrin Ahmed Alawi (8 years old), and the injury of:
Judi Ahmed Alawi (14 years old),
Mohammad Ahmed Alawi (10 years old),
Ibrahim Ahmed Alawi (5 years old).

They added that the attack caused widespread panic among residents, amid growing fears of renewed indiscriminate targeting of populated villages, as military escalation in the area continues.
Meanwhile, a United Nations humanitarian aid convoy arrived today at the entrance of the Kobani countryside, coming from Aleppo, following a siege that has been ongoing for the sixth consecutive day, imposed by forces affiliated with the transitional government.
The arrival of the convoy coincided with the continued siege of the city, as residents are suffering from a severe shortage of basic supplies.
