The Head of the Transitional Authority in Syria, Ahmad Al-Sharaa, met today at the People’s Palace in Damascus with a delegation from the Kurdish National Council (ENKS).
During the meeting, Ahmad Al-Sharaa affirmed the state’s commitment to guaranteeing the rights of Kurdish citizens within the framework of the constitution, stressing the importance of consolidating the principle of citizenship, preserving the unity of the country, and respecting social and cultural diversity.

According to a post by the Syrian Presidency on the X platform, the delegation of the Kurdish National Council welcomed Presidential Decree No. /13/, considering it an important step toward strengthening rights and safeguarding cultural and social specificity, in a manner that contributes to enhancing stability and national understanding.
