Verified sources from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights have denied reports circulated by media platforms in recent hours claiming that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) had begun handing over its arsenal of heavy and medium weapons to the Syrian Ministry of Defense as part of an alleged agreement sponsored by an official delegation that recently visited al-Hasakah Governorate.
The sources stated that these reports are entirely baseless, stressing that no such handover process has taken place. They explained that the facts on the ground contradict these claims, as no military movements or convoys indicating the transfer of weapons have been recorded. Likewise, no receiving committees or deployment of alternative units in the area have been observed.
The sources also stated that no fundamental change has occurred in the structure of military forces or in their positions across the regions of North and East Syria.
They further confirmed that the official visits that occasionally take place to al-Hasakah Governorate are limited to administrative and service-related files.
