The Kurdish parties and forces in Rojava Kurdistan issued a statement addressed to the public, in which they condemned what they described as “recurring and coordinated attacks” targeting the Kurdish people in various parts of Kurdistan, amid sensitive international circumstances and tensions witnessed in the Middle East region.
The statement indicated that “our Kurdish people are subjected to recurring and coordinated attacks by multiple parties aiming to break our will and weaken our presence in all parts of Kurdistan,” explaining that the recent period has witnessed “direct aggression against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Rojava, Iranian aggression against the Kurdish resistance in East Kurdistan, in addition to repeated assaults on the Kurdistan Region.”
The statement added that “the latest of these heinous assaults was the targeting of a group of Peshmerga by an Iran-affiliated militia, which led to their martyrdom while they were defending their land and dignity,” emphasizing that these attacks “are not merely isolated incidents, but part of a scheme seeking to end the Kurdish dream of building a secure and democratic future.”
In their statement, the parties affirmed that they “condemn in the strongest terms these repeated attacks targeting the Kurdish people in all parts of their homeland,” noting specifically what occurred in the Kurdistan Region, and considering these acts “unforgivable crimes against the will of a people struggling for freedom, dignity, and peace.”
The statement stressed that the Kurdish people “will not bow to these aggressive policies,” noting that they “have offered thousands of martyrs in defense of their human values and peace in the entire region.”
In a related context, the statement explained that “the sole salvation for our people in this critical phase lies in unifying their ranks,” affirming that “Kurdish unity is not an option, but a necessary lifeline to confront existential challenges.”
According to the statement, the Kurdish parties and forces called upon “all Kurdish parties, forces, and entities in Rojava and in other parts of Kurdistan to transcend secondary differences, and unify efforts and ranks” with the aim of “protecting the rights of our people, preserving the blood of our martyrs, and building a future worthy of our people’s historic sacrifices.”
The statement concluded by affirming that “our Kurdish people will not be defeated as long as they remain steadfast in their unity and free will,” raising the slogans “Long live the unity of the Kurdish people” and “Long live a free and democratic Kurdistan.”
The statement was issued in Qamishlo on March 24, 2026, and was signed by a group of Kurdish parties and forces, including: the Kurdistan National Congress (KNK), the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the Democratic Green Party, the Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party, the Kurdistan Communist Party, the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Party, the Kurdish Left Party in Syria, the Kurdish Democratic Left Party in Syria, the Future Syria Party, the Kurdistan Democratic Change Party, the Kurdistan Renewal Movement, the Kurdistan Workers’ Union, the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Accord Party, the Reform Movement – Syria, the Kurdistan Brotherhood Party, the Roj Democratic Kurdish Party in Syria, the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), the Star Congress (Kongreya Star), the Democratic Struggle Party, the Kurdistan Future Current, the Kurdistan Democratic Party – West Kurdistan, the Kurdistan National Gathering Party, the Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (Al-Parti), the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria, the Revolutionary Left Party in Syria, the Kurdistan Conservative Party, the Syrian Democratic Gathering Party, and the Syrian Reform Current.
