Tawar Salari, a young Kurdish woman originally from Iranian Kurdistan (Eastern Kurdistan – Rojhilat), has achieved remarkable success within the Social Democratic Party of Finland after being elected as a member of the party’s leadership council, coinciding with her candidacy for the Finnish parliamentary elections scheduled for next year.

Salari, who resides in the Finnish city of Turku, grew up in the same city, where she managed to advance through the party’s ranks through her political and social activism.

In a statement to the “Diaspora” program on Rudaw TV, Salari said that she is contesting the upcoming parliamentary elections to defend human rights through her party, emphasizing her endeavor to establish the right to self-determination for the Kurdish people and other nations.

She added that the Social Democratic Party adopted her political project and included it in its program, explaining that the project involves recognizing the rights of peoples and supporting them in achieving independence and democracy.

Regarding her success within the party, Salari pointed out that she worked hard both inside and outside the party to solidify her convictions and win people’s trust.

Tawar Salari called on the Kurdistan community in Finland, particularly in the city of Turku, to support her, grant her their trust in the upcoming parliamentary elections, and back her political projects.
