Muhammad Mustafa Baraka Has Been Missing Since July 2025.. And the Family Confirms His Presence in the Central Prison in the City of Manbij
The family of the 25-year-old Kurdish youth, Muhammad Mustafa Baraka, continues its sit-in in front of the Kobani District Director’s building, demanding that his fate be revealed and that he be released, after losing contact with him since the seventh of July 2025.
The family set up a sit-in tent in front of the building, confirming that it will continue its action until learning the fate of its son and securing his release.
According to information close to the family, Muhammad Mustafa Baraka is located in the Central Prison in the city of Manbij, while the family demands that the relevant authorities reveal his fate and release him.
Baraka’s case dates back to his detention while at a checkpoint in Dayr Hafir, where the charge against him was linked, according to reported information, to the presence of photos on his mobile phone showing him wearing the uniform of the Syrian Democratic Forces, which led to accusations against him at that time of belonging to those forces.
As part of its efforts to learn the fate of its son, the family met with officials in the region, who assured them that they would follow up on the case and work to expedite the procedures related to it.
The father of Muhammad Mustafa Baraka confirmed that the family will continue its sit-in in front of the Kobani District Director’s building, stating that they will not leave the location of the sit-in before the fate of their son is revealed and he is released.
This step comes at a time when the Baraka family continues to demand clarification regarding their son’s situation, more than a year after losing contact with him.
