The residents of Hasakah and the families of those detained by the Syrian Interim Government welcomed nearly 400 prisoners at the Sabbagh Roundabout in the north of the city. This arrival marks the third batch of the prisoner exchange process between the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian Interim Government.
According to reports, the batch arrived under organized administrative procedures, while hundreds of families gathered in the area hoping to reunite with their sons included in the swap. This movement comes as part of the implementation of the terms of the January 29 agreement.
In recent days, friends and families of Kurdish prisoners held by the Interim Government had organized sit-ins and protests, demanding their release and the acceleration of the exchange process.
