After years of living in displacement camps, around 700 families from among the displaced people of Sere Kaniye have taken a new step toward returning to their villages and homes, with the arrival of the second convoy, which set out today from the Sere Kaniye Camp in the city of Hasakah toward around 55 villages in the countryside of the city, Rizkan, and Tal Tamr, according to Hawar News Agency.
According to the source, the convoy included around 700 families, or approximately 7,000 people, as part of the process of returning the displaced people of Sere Kaniye to their areas. The returnees reached their villages and homes from which they had been displaced following the attack launched by the Turkish army and affiliated factions on October 9, 2019.
