The Police Directorate of Erbil Governorate in the Kurdistan Region has given content creators and live streamers on social media platforms—particularly TikTok—a 15-day deadline to report to the directorate to open official files and sign pledges not to commit violations, emphasizing that strict legal action will be taken against offenders.
The police explained that the decision aims to curb negative phenomena and ban the use of inappropriate language or abuse on social media, in order to protect social values and reduce related crimes.
