A joint checkpoint manned by the “Asayish” (Internal Security Forces) and General Security in the village of Jub Faraj, located in the Kobane countryside, was targeted by an RPG shell fired by unidentified gunmen, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Wednesday.
According to preliminary information, the attack originated from the direction of Shuyukh village in the Kobane countryside. There have been no confirmed reports regarding the extent of the damage or whether there were any casualties.
Following the attack, security forces conducted extensive sweep operations in the surrounding area to track the gunmen and identify those responsible for the targeting.
