Berlin – Israeli Ambassador to Germany Ron Prosor said he visited today the office of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in Berlin.
Prosor stated that the friendship between the two peoples is not merely a matter of shared interests, but a deep and enduring bond between minorities in the Middle East who have been forced to fight to defend themselves.

He said that the Kurds are the ones who fought, and are still fighting, on the front lines against ISIS and Islamist groups, warning that these groups would otherwise have reached Europe.
Prosor added that the world, and Europe in particular, cannot afford to remain silent, calling for holding the Syrian government accountable for these attacks and for ensuring that the rights of Kurds and all minorities are permanently enshrined in a new Syrian constitution.
He also stressed that the international community must actively guarantee the safety and protection of the Kurdish population.
